Applying online
Can I apply for a business loan entirely online in New Zealand?
For unsecured loans, lines of credit and invoice finance, nearly every step can be digital: enquiry, bank and accounting data, identity checks, e-signing and payout. Property-secured loans add a valuation and lawyer steps, which are also increasingly electronic.
How long does the online enquiry take?
About 60 seconds. It asks for the amount, purpose, region, trading time, turnover band, whether property is available and your contact details.
Does the enquiry involve a credit check?
No. A credit check is only discussed once you have spoken with a specialist and chosen to proceed with a specific option.
Will my details be sent to multiple lenders?
No. One team reads your enquiry and approaches the lender best suited to your situation. We do not auction or broadcast your details.
Can I talk to someone instead of doing it all online?
Yes. A specialist calls after every enquiry, and you can phone us on 09 875 4577 at any stage.
Data, ID and signing
Do I have to use open banking?
No. If your bank supports regulated open banking you can connect in a few taps; otherwise upload original PDF statements through a secure portal.
Which banks support open banking?
ANZ, ASB, BNZ and Westpac have been designated data holders since 1 December 2025. Kiwibank is designated for payments from 1 June 2026 and account information from 1 December 2026.
Do I need Xero or MYOB?
No. Many lenders work from bank statements alone, especially for smaller unsecured amounts. Accounting data helps with larger requests and invoice finance.
How does online ID verification work?
Each director and guarantor photographs a current licence or passport and takes a short live selfie so software can match face to document.
Are e-signatures valid for loan documents?
Generally yes. Under the Contract and Commercial Law Act 2017, an electronic signature can meet a legal signing requirement when it reliably identifies the signer and shows their approval.
Products and eligibility
How much can my business borrow?
Property-secured business loans range from $20,000 to $5,000,000. Unsecured and line-of-credit options for trading businesses typically run from $5,000 to $500,000.
Why don't you publish interest rates?
Every business loan is priced on its own circumstances — security, trading history, purpose and risk. We help you compare real offers in total dollars instead.
Can I get a loan with IRD debt or bad credit?
Possibly. Both are considered case by case. Tell us up front so we can match you with a lender whose policy fits.
Can the loan be used for personal spending?
No. We arrange finance for business purposes only.
Safety and privacy
Will you ever ask for my passwords?
Never. Not for internet banking, myIR, Xero, MYOB or email. Anyone who asks is not us.
Will you ever charge a fee to release a loan?
No. Asking for money before a loan is released is a classic scam. Genuine fees are disclosed in writing and handled at settlement.
How is my information protected?
We collect only what is needed, store it securely and use it to arrange your finance, in line with the Privacy Act 2020. You can ask what we hold about you at any time.
How do I check a message really came from you?
Call your specialist on the number they first called you from, or our main number. Never use contact details from an unexpected message.
Still wondering? The how it works page walks through each step, or you can start the 60-second enquiry and ask a real person.
Ready when you are. Start online.
The enquiry takes about a minute on any device. Nothing touches your credit file at this stage, your details stay with one team, and a person — not a bot — calls you back.
